Craniosacral Therapy

A gentle, hands-on therapy that listens to the body’s own rhythm and guides you closer to yourself.

What is Craniosacral Therapy?

Craniosacral therapy is a body treatment in which a soft touch makes contact with the movement of the connective tissue and the cerebrospinal fluid that flows between the skull and the sacrum. This fluid is found in the head and along the centre of our spine, and is part of our nervous system.

Craniosacral therapy works with movement — the movement of the cranial bones, of the spinal fluid, of connective tissue, lymph and cells. It is in this movement that progress lives.

With a gentle touch we can sense disturbances in the rhythm of this movement and support the body in restoring it. This creates space and offers the possibility to resolve problems and come closer to yourself — so that you feel more at ease in your own skin and gain insight into where problems and emotional constrictions come from. This does not have to mean digging through the past. But understanding your own behavioural patterns, which have their origin somewhere in your life, brings clarity. Do I still want this, or does it no longer serve me? Step by step we explore together what suits you and what does not.

From the moment you chose this life on earth, you have been filled with an inner wisdom — a direction without doubt and without fear, clear and certain. It is anchored in who you are, in all your cells, which knew that direction very early in life. Through what we encounter in life, both joyful and sad, it can happen that you lose that direction and feel lost or less powerful. Then we can set to work together. You go on the journey; I stand beside you, watching with you, helping to adjust course or find direction — toward the place where you feel most at home and come fully into your own.

Living more consciously

“An invitation to come home to the miracle that is your life”

In today’s society we live fast, hectic lives. We race from one moment to the next, we worry, and we can become completely absorbed in thoughts and unconscious habits that make us rigid.

When we become aware of our body and of the wondrous world called life, and experience the unique power of our existence, it can feel like coming home — to a place that feels good, that gives energy instead of costing energy; a place that feels safe rather than fearful. Studies from around the world show that living more consciously and mindfully brings greater calm and makes you more resilient in stressful situations and in the unexpected turns life can take. You learn to be still, to listen to what your body is telling you, and so to take better care of it. You learn to feel again what you need.

Nothing in our lives is static. If we are stuck, locked up, or troubled physically, we can look for the cause together by listening to what the body has to tell. We follow in stillness, with attention — and write your story.
